Fall Offerings: Drawing Class & Private Lessons
You still have a few more days to sign up for a four week "Intro to Drawing" class at the Frisco Senior Center!

If you are unable (or too young) to take classes at the Senior Center, consider doing private art lessons or hosting a small class! Paige can tailor lessons to what you want to learn, for however long you want to learn it! Lessons are $30 an hour. Class fees vary, depending on duration, medium, and number of participants.

Upcoming Classes at the Frisco Senior Center-Fall 2011
- Introduction to Drawing (Pencil & Charcoal) will run each week for the month of September. This class is for beginners interested in sharpening drawing skills.
- Introduction to 2D Art: Drawing, Painting, & Design is an 8 week class on Saturday afternoons throughout September and October. This class will serve as an introduction to several different artistic mediums, applied through an understanding of the basic principles and elements of design.

Children's Art Camps July 2011

Is your child creative?
Do they want to learn about art?
Are they ready for some hands-on summer fun? Camps include art projects and activities, snacks, games, stories, a daily film hour in the Blackbox theatre and Parent Gallery Day on Friday. Sign them up for one of the following week-long art camps at the Frisco Discovery Center!
C1. Kindergarten-3rd Grade Art Camp, Monday through Friday, 9AM-3PM, July 18-22, 2011, $300
Join Paige and her staff for a fun-filled and structured week of creative activity and exploration. Thematic art projects and activities are designed to excite and occupy young children.
C2. 4th-6th Grade Art Camp, Monday through Friday, 9AM-3PM, July 25-29, 2011, $300
This camp is for older children who love to make or learn about art! Projects, stories, and games will revolve around various techniques, mediums, and the history of art.
Parent Gallery Day for both camps will be Friday, from 2-3 PM.
All supplies and snacks will be provided.
Registration deadline is June 24.

A1. Adult Introduction to Drawing, Thursdays from 7-9 PM, July 7-28, 2011, $125
Explore the principles and elements of design and various drawing techniques through pencil and charcoal.
A2. Adult Introduction to Art, Mondays from 7-9 PM, July 11-August 29, 2011, $225
Learn about a little bit of everything in this eight week introduction to art through drawing, painting, and collage. Class will cover basic design principles and elements, color theory, artistic techniques, some art history, and will offer students a chance for constructive feedback on their creations.
A3. Adult Introduction to Acrylic Painting, Thursdays from 7-9 PM, August 4-25, 2011, $125
If color and paint excites you, but you have never put the brush to a canvas, then this is your chance! Learn about color theory, basic design principles and elements, and acrylic painting techniques in this four week class.
